A Tiger Cave Cowrie (Cypraea tigris) is a sea slug, when sleeping, it pulls its skin over its shell to increase its surface to be able to saturate with Oxygen! Amazing isn’t it!? Oxygen(skin)tent while sleeping! 
But there is also a sad story to those beautiful shiny shells! Usually everyone of us has seen them getting sold on the beach anywhere in the world… in Nature the shell looses its glance about 24-48h after death of the Cowrie, so to keep the glance, humans collect them alive and throw them into boiling water, only then they keep their glossy shiny glance! Please don’t buy this beautiful looking shells!
