Is the Diving course included in the Price?

Yes a complete internationally valid CMAS1*Star Course to 21m, certification card and logbook is included in the Price.

Is the Scuba Diving Certification internationally recognized?

Yes Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS) is an international federation that represents underwater activities in underwater sport and underwater sciences, and oversees an international system of recreational snorkel and scuba diver training and recognition.

It is also known by its English name, the World Underwater Federation, and its Spanish name, Confederacion Mundial De Actividades Subacuaticas. Its foundation in Monaco during January 1959 makes it one of the world’s oldest underwater diving organizations.

Is accommodation included?

Yes accommodation is included

What’s the minimum age?

Minimum age is 18 years old, but a we also have older retired or PHD Doctorate volunteers.

What will i gain from this Project?

This programs are an excellent opportunity to combine travel & work. As well as gaining experience that look brilliant in your CV, you will improve your skills such as team-working, presentation and especially knowledge in Marine conservation.

I am a female volunteer. Is it safe to travel and volunteer alone?

In terms of traveling and volunteering, women do not experience any more problems than a curious stare. However, it’s always a good idea to be careful and follow common sense. The two most important pieces of advice for a female traveler are to be aware of cultural differences – in the way people act or dress – and always trust your gut instincts.

How often do we go diving per week?

As weather permits we are trying to go 4 days worth of diving per week

Can i use my Mobile Phone?

Yes you can. You can buy a local sim card for your mobile phone. These are perfect for local calls to other volunteers and to keep in touch with our local staff in the destination. Calling overseas might be expensive but most sim cards also provide you with 4G internet.

Where are you Located?

We are Located in Ao Nang, Krabi Province, Thailand.

Is insurance included?

While a Diving insurance is provided. You’re required to obtain appropriate travel and medical insurance that will cover you for the entire duration of your project and travels abroad.

Your travel insurance policy must include emergency medical including repatriation, personal accident, personal liability and loss of baggage

Is food included in the Price?

Food is included only on the boat

What do I need to bring?

Bring some old and some new clothes due to the work you'll be doing you might get a little dirty!

How long do projects last?

We offer projects ranging from 2 weeks to 8 weeks. The easiest way to check this is to view our Prices page.

However, if you would like to go for longer, then you can add on as many ‘Extra Weeks’ as you like.

Is the work paid?

You will not be paid for your work, but you will gain valuable work experience and discover skills – and have a great time! We do not have government funding or other outside funding. Our partner organizations can often barely afford to pay their own staff, so these positions have to be voluntary and self-funded.

Will I need vaccinations?

We recommend booking an appointment with your local doctor, who will be happy to advise on what vaccinations you may need. Especially in the time of Covid-19 you need to make sure you are up to date with the restrictions and vaccinations.
