Brownbanded bamboo shark Juvenile (Chiloscyllium punctatum). A short fact to bring more understanding to and from the world of sharks. Bamboo shark embryos take around 118 days to reach the hatching period at 25°C. and around 7-10cm in length Brownbanded bamboos are oviparous -> laying eggs.
In this Picture you can see the brownbanded bamboo shark juvenile (Chiloscyllium punctatum). As you can see this juvenile has a completely different color pattern (stripes), than the adult which is a one color brown to grey!
Some of their diet includes fresh shrimp, scallop, squid, and marine fish. They are nocturnal usually hiding under rocks during the day.
