📸 Real Moments – Wildlife Edition

🔹 “An Unexpected Moment by the Lake”

I didn’t go out looking for wildlife that day.

No long wait, no careful planning — just a quiet walk by the lake.

The air was still. Nothing moved.
It felt like one of those moments where nothing really happens.

And then, out of nowhere — movement. A Greylag goose (anser anser) 2 actually.

I had my camera with me — a lightweight setup, nothing special. Just my Sony Alpha 7 IV paired with a Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS — just in case something appeared in the distance.

Just for a second.
Subtle. Easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.

No time to think, no time to prepare.
Just instinct, a quick reaction — and a few frames.

Gone as quickly as it appeared.

That’s what I love about wildlife photography.
You don’t control the moment — you’re lucky if you’re there when it happens.

Greylag geese (Anser anser) bathe in lakes and wetlands by splashing, diving, and rolling to clean their feathers, often accompanied by preening. This behavior typically involves vigorous splashing and water display

This wasn’t planned.
This was real.
