Daniel Sasse is a passionate and professional photographer and conservationist from Germany whose work is deeply rooted in a lifelong connection to the natural world. His journey into photography began in 1995 in Fuerteventura, alongside the start of his education as a dive instructor. What began as a way to document the underwater world quickly evolved into a powerful visual language, shaping both his career and his approach to conservation. From the very beginning, photography and environmental awareness have been closely intertwined in his work.

With a strong background in landscape, wildlife, and underwater photography, Daniel captures more than visually striking scenes—his images reflect patience, respect, and a nuanced understanding of natural processes. Whether documenting remote landscapes, fragile reef systems, or elusive wildlife, he approaches each subject with a thoughtful, ethical mindset that prioritizes authenticity and minimal disturbance.

With over 25 years of experience in underwater environmental conservation, Daniel is also a certified dive instructor whose career has been closely tied to marine protection and education. From 2006 to 2022, he owned and operated a dive center in Thailand, where he trained divers, led conservation initiatives, and worked hands-on with coral reef protection, marine species monitoring, and sustainable diving practices. He also spent 2.5 years working as a dive instructor and underwater conservationist in Australia on the Great Barrier Reef, contributing to conservation programs in one of the world’s most fragile and iconic marine ecosystems.
